Final Project

For my final project, I am constructing a skull out of clay, covering it in silicone and plaster, painting it, and then adding on wire and glitz. The theme I am going for is a dark, sinister, sugar skull. Here is a picture of the original skull I have created. More pictures to come!

Project #3 Continued

This is a picture of my completed project. I used a mixture of duct tape, string, and paint to create my object to fill in the hole of my roommate's window screen. I used a variation of color on my art piece because I sort of have a theme going with the colors turquoise, white, and orange. Overall you can see my piece fits perfectly, although it is not the best picture, but enjoy! More projects to come!

Project #3

For our third project, we are to find an area that has been damaged in any way and create something to fix it. I have chosen the window screen on my roommate's window which has a hole in it that bugs are coming through. I want to fix this area and transform it into a work of art.

Project #2

For project #2, our task was to create a framed piece of art with a skin that also somehow incorporated 24 inches of sewing. I decided to make a frame out of wood and cover it with saran-wrap as my "skin". On the saran-wrap, I drew various pictures and doodles that represent different parts of my life. Inside this frame I sewed a large red heart to represent how I protect my heart with this tough, outside skin. All in all, this has been my favorite project so far.

First Project

Criteria:
Make a container out of bailing wire. Project must be 80% wire and at least 2ft in any direction.
Product:
Abstract birdcage.
My whole life I have been obsessed with birdcages and the symbolism behind them. My piece is meant to look like a rustic, vintage birdcage but has no sides because I believe in the idea of freedom and never captivity for any human or animal. The colors I used make it a whimsical piece that is left up to the viewer's imagination. Enjoy!

Favorite Food Post

Chicken Caesar Salad is my favorite food because it simply rocks. Goes with everything, never lets me down.
